Sucafina, the leading sustainable Farm to Roaster coffee company, is pleased to announce that it has successfully closed a 2-year Sustainability-linked Senior Secured Borrowing Base Facility, securing US $500 million.

Sucafina – the leading sustainable Farm to Roaster coffee company – announced today the launch of Sucafina NZ Ltd., establishing its New Zealand-based trading team and warehouse spot positions in Auckland and Christchurch.

Sucafina – the leading sustainable Farm to Roaster coffee company – has established an Indonesia-based company, PT Sucafina Indonesia Coffee, to support its work with Indonesian coffee farmers. 

On January 4, 2021, Sucafina announced an agreement to take a majority interest in Complete Coffee Limited (CCL) alongside the Breminer family, which will retain participation in the company.

In its continuous effort to support its work with Yunnan coffee farmers, Sucafina is pleased to announce that it has established a China-based company, Sucafina (Yunnan) Co. Ltd. This new endeavor will be launched in partnership with Depond, part of Desheng Group.

Sucafina announced today the Group’s rebranding in order to better reflect its evolution and vision to be the leading sustainable Farm to Roaster coffee company in the world. The rebranding is yet another step towards solidifying the company’s stance, offerings and direction in the soffee industry. 

The low market means big risk to the coffee industry. Low prices threaten farmers, especially smallholders. In response, Sucafina North America has created the Farmgate Initiative, allowing roasters to make additional cash payments directly to farmers to increase the farmgate price.

The 2019 Sucafina Prize of Excellence was awarded to Aurélien Epiney, a Master's in Commodity Trading student at the Geneva School of Economics and Management, for his thesis on hydroelectric power.

Sucafina is pleased to announce a collaboration with farmer connect SA – a tech start-up building farm-to-consumer traceability solutions for enterprises based on the IBM Food Trust Platform.
