MAKING AN IMPACT: SUCAFINA’S 2023 SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, July 23, 2024 – We are proud to share Sucafina’s sustainability report for 2023, “Making an IMPACT.” With progress updates on our Sustainability Strategy and impactful projects around the world, the report showcases how we are creating opportunities to improve lives up and down the value chain.

“In this year's edition, our responsible sourcing program, IMPACT, takes center stage. We are excited to unveil our work to collect data across our five focus areas – and, crucially, to translate this data into effective strategies to drive positive change in the field,” said Justin Archer, Head of Sustainability at Sucafina.

5 IMPACT GOALS

Launched in 2022, IMPACT is designed to benefit farmers, traders, and roasters, fostering a fairer, more resilient coffee industry. In this report, discover the latest IMPACT updates and join us on a journey through five of our origins to get a glimpse into how we are:

  • Monitoring and assessing deforestation risk in Rwanda.
  • Implementing learnings from carbon mapping in Vietnam.
  • Evaluating regenerative agriculture practices in Kenya.
  • Strengthening our human rights due diligence in Papua New Guinea.
  • Supporting coffee farming households in Uganda towards a living income.

“As we harvest more data on deforestation, carbon, regenerative agriculture, human rights, and living income, I believe we are meeting our commitment to tackle pressing challenges in our supply chain. Our industry – and our company – have evolved dramatically in recent years, and we are proud to be part of this change,” said Nicolas A. Tamari, CEO of Sucafina.
