GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, February 20th, 2018 – Sucafina believes that coffee isn’t just a product, but the future of millions of people, and everyone in the supply chain should be able to make a living.
In this context, the EFA Group started to provide Sucafina SA with financing back in 2017 through supporting the Company's partnered farmers, helping it enter new regions and markets, and get activities started.
In order to reinforce Sucafina's sustainability program, the EFA Group will provide prepayments to producers and working capital for the Company's operations, helping reach more farmers and move them from subsistence to growth.
“It’s not enough to buy and sell. Being a coffee merchant requires us to be deeply involved in the coffee community. What we appreciate about EFA is that they truly understand our business and are willing to accompany us in bringing improvements to the supply chain all the way to the farmers and their communities.” Says Nicolas A. Tamari – CEO, Sucafina.
