GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, July 19, 2023 – Sucafina is proud to share its annual sustainability report for the year 2022, “Making an IMPACT.” The report provides updates on Sucafina’s progress toward its sustainability strategy and on its numerous projects and programs around the world – most notably, the launch of IMPACT, Sucafina’s responsible sourcing program.
Sucafina released its 2030 sustainability strategy in 2021, setting out a roadmap with goals and KPIs to target three key action pillars: Investing in Farmers, Caring for People, and Protecting Our Planet. The 2022 report summarizes the latest results across all three pillars. It also details how Sucafina has expanded its internal sustainability capacity and showcases important contributions employees are making up and down the value chain.
Highlights from this year’s report include:
- The launch of IMPACT, insights from the roll-out and implementation in Brazil, and next steps for the 5 IMPACT Goals.
- Projects that have supported over 180,000 farmers, as well as wider coffee communities.
- Initiatives to strengthen and promote human rights due diligence, health & safety, and employee engagement.
- Updates on Sucafina’s environmental commitments: over 150,000 farms in Sucafina’s direct supply chain are now being assessed for deforestation and 9 origins have carbon monitoring in place.
