September 23, 2026 – Sucafina is teaming up with coffee companies and public and philanthropic partners to expand access to quality healthcare and build resilience among coffee-farming households in Uganda.
Limited access to healthcare is a significant challenge for many farming households in rural Uganda. Through the pre-competitive Uganda Coffee Farmer Health Consortium, launched today, we are working with Elucid and other partners to make quality healthcare more accessible across the Greater Masaka, Ankole and Rwenzori regions.
The consortium will finance access to healthcare at clinics and pharmacies, complemented by preventive services such as mobile health screenings. Together, members are investing more than €2.5 million over three years, reaching around 65,000 people in coffee-growing communities.
Access to quality healthcare is a basic condition for coffee farming families to thrive. Sucafina is proud to be investing alongside our partners to address this shared challenge and support Community Wellbeing across Uganda’s coffee regions.
