October 6, 2025 – We’re proud to announce that Ugacof (Sucafina’s sister company in Uganda) has been named Best Exporter by the Uganda Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) at an event celebrating International Coffee Day in Busoga last week.
“This is the second time we’ve surpassed 1 million bags – and it’s a new record for Ugacof. It’s especially rewarding in a year when Uganda’s coffee exports have reached record value and are set to exceed 8 million bags for the first time,” says Michael Nuwagaba, Chief Operating Officer at Ugacof.
Michael joined Ugacof team members Gilbert Mukiza, Rose Nalwanga, and Muhamad Epaphra Nkundizana to accept the award from the Hon. Frank Tumwebaze, Minister for Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries.
