GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, June 01, 2018 – US Ambassador to Burundi, Anne Casper, visited on Friday Ngogomo Coffee Washing Station owned by Bugestal – Sucafina’s subsidiary in the country.
During her visit, Anne Casper had the chance to closely see the ongoing field activities related to the Burundi Coffee Alliance (BCA) Project funded by USAID and implemented by the Kahawatu Foundation – Sucafina’s Sustainability Implementer.
She was pleased to see the impact of Kahawatu, especially in terms of women involvement, which increased significantly following the implementation of the BCA Project.
She also met with several farmers who told her about the improvement in quality and quantity of coffee.
