November 13, 2024. Today, we’re celebrating the first graduates of Sucafina’s IMPACT Ambassadors Program! 15 members of our trade, finance, and origin teams successfully completed the 1-year program, which is designed to equip participants with the skills and confidence to drive forward our IMPACT Program and other sustainability initiatives.
As part of the program, the IMPACT Ambassadors took part in comprehensive online sustainability training modules covering the 5 IMPACT Goal areas: forest conservation, carbon emissions, regenerative agriculture, human rights, and living income. They presented case studies and engaged in discussions with our origin teams to better understand the real-world applications.
The IMPACT Ambassadors also traveled to Rwanda and Kenya to take part in sustainability activities on the ground at origin. They got hands-on experience in polygon mapping (a critical concept in IMPACT and EUDR compliance), coffee tree stumping, soil sampling, cherry processing, and much more!
They also had the opportunity to meet and speak with some of the coffee farmers we work with, gaining valuable insights into their needs and the challenges faced at origin.

The IMPACT Ambassadors are now translating what they’ve learned back to the business, while helping to drive forward initiatives with both internal and external stakeholders.
