I take immense pride in the rich and diverse experiences I've accumulated during my time at Sucafina. One of my most significant achievements is the profound understanding I've gained of the global coffee industry, starting from the smallholder coffee farmers in various origins to navigating the complexities of the entire supply chain.
Sucafina has provided me with a unique opportunity to connect with the intricate web of coffee production, enabling me to appreciate the hard work and dedication of farmers worldwide. Who are the female figures that inspire you in your career?
Female coffee farmers are a constant source of inspiration. Witnessing their resilience in the face of numerous challenges, from economic hardships to gender-based disparities, has been both humbling and motivating. These women, who pour their hearts into cultivating coffee amidst adversity, epitomize strength and determination. Their stories highlight the importance of empowering women in traditionally male-dominated sectors and inspire me to contribute to positive change in the industry.
Within Sucafina, I've been fortunate to encounter inspiring individuals who not only pursue their dreams passionately but also actively encourage others to dream bigger and believe in themselves. The camaraderie and support among female professionals create an environment where aspirations are nurtured, and barriers are overcome collectively. These individuals serve as mentors, demonstrating the power of collaboration and the impact of uplifting one another in a shared journey towards success.
On a deeply personal level, my grandmothers are my enduring sources of inspiration. Growing up in a time when societal norms limited their opportunities for formal careers, they worked tirelessly to raise and feed large families, each with eight children. Their strength, resilience, and selflessness in the face of immense challenges resonate with me daily. I am reminded of the sacrifices they made without having the privilege to choose their paths or pursue big dreams. Their legacy propels me to appreciate the opportunities I have and to use them to advocate for a more inclusive and empowering future.
