Sustainable Growth for Farmers & Roasters, Together
IMPACT is Sucafina’s sourcing program that assures long-term, sustainable performance along every step of Sucafina’s supply chain. From farm to cup. From compliance to transformation.
IMPACT is designed to help farmers and roasters achieve their sustainability goals and business objectives, from responsible sourcing to projects that create measurable, sustainable change in the coffee supply chain:
- IMPACT Verified offers responsibly sourced, traceable coffees that comply with regulatory requirements and rigorous social, environmental and economic standards, helping roasters to mitigate supply chain risks.
- IMPACT Beyond goes further by activating long-term transformation in 5 key areas of sustainability: Living Income, Regenerative Agriculture, Carbon Emissions, Human Rights and Forest Conservation.

Responsibly Sourced, Traceable Coffee: IMPACT Verified
At the heart of IMPACT is our sustainability standard, IMPACT Verified. IMPACT Verified coffees are responsibly sourced and traceable and align with all relevant regulatory measures (including EUDR), while assuring compliance with recognized sustainability standards.
IMPACT Verified is based on the Coffee Sustainability Reference Code (Coffee SR Code) and has been recognized by the Global Coffee Platform as Coffee SR Code equivalent, 2nd party assurance. This recognition provides confidence that IMPACT Verified coffee is produced and processed in accordance with global environmental, social and economic sustainability standards.
To obtain IMPACT Verified status, farms and facilities are assessed based on compliance with a set of supply chain practices, or indicators, aligned with the Global Coffee Platform.

For a coffee to be claimed as ‘responsibly sourced’, all farmers and facilities in the supply chain it is sourced from must comply with 100% of the 11 mandatory Critical Indicators and the required number of the 71 Improvement Indicators (at least 50% at the first audit, with continuous improvement in subsequent verifications).
Sucafina works hand-in-hand with farmers in the IMPACT Program to improve practices on farms of all sizes, in line with the IMPACT requirements. Farmers receive support, periodic training, and access to farm services, such as inputs and tools, and we will work with each farmer group to develop a customized improvement action plan.
Supply chains are audited by a third party every 3 years, during harvest season to properly assess the adoption of best practices.
Go Further with IMPACT Beyond
Building on a foundation of responsible sourcing, IMPACT Beyond goes further by identifying opportunities to drive measurable progress in the 5 IMPACT Goal areas: Living Income, Regenerative Agriculture, Carbon Emissions, Human Rights and Forest Conservation. As a result, these coffees can be described as ‘sustainably sourced’.

IMPACT Beyond is our solution for roasters and other partners looking to elevate their sustainability efforts by contributing to lasting, measurable change in the coffee supply chain. On top of the benefits of IMPACT Verified, IMPACT Beyond offers:
- data-driven, tailored supply chain insights to guide investment;
- co-creation and implementation of transformative projects;
- case studies and reports to showcase progress.
From boosting farmers’ economic resilience to enhancing soil health and biodiversity, our IMPACT Beyond programs enable partners to collaborate with us to shape a fairer, more sustainable coffee supply chain.
IMPACT for All Stakeholders
IMPACT is one of the most important tools in achieving Sucafina’s purpose: creating opportunities to improve lives. The program is designed to drive sustainable growth for farmers and roasters, benefiting all stakeholders.
IMPACT for farmers, who will:
- receive advice and training on best practices;
- see greater demand for their coffee from an industry that needs more responsibly sourced coffee;
- participate in projects to reduce carbon emissions and deforestation, and improve human rights, living income and regenerative agriculture;
- be rewarded over time with better prices and incentives for sustainable practices.
IMPACT for communities, who will:
- harness more investment for projects to improve their wellbeing, standard of living and environmental resilience.
IMPACT for roasters, who will:
- access a greater supply of traceable, responsibly sourced coffee;
- receive data on the health of the supply chain and progress against our 5 IMPACT Goals;
- have opportunities to discuss and co-design transformative projects targeting the 5 IMPACT Goals and to have greater engagement with farmers.
