SUCAFINA HELPING TO PROVIDE COVID-19 FOOD RELIEF IN RWANDA

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, April 9, 2020 – Similar to other cities around the world, in Kigali, Rwanda, it’s the many who are suffering the most from the consequences of COVID-19. During this confinement period and in a city of 1.3 million people, the majority of workers in Rwanda are not receiving daily work and, therefore, their daily salary.

Sucafina SA, Rwacof Exports, and the Kahawatu Foundation have come together to join the Government of Rwanda with its efforts to provide relief and avoid a hunger crisis among casual workers who are the most affected during these challenging times. As always, we are committed to our partners at origin, and we want to help as much as we can.

Between now and Friday, May 1, 2020, Sucafina has committed to matching every dollar to reach the target of US$36K. Raised funds will serve to buy good quality maize flour and rice at wholesale prices for distribution by the Government of Rwanda to those that need it most.

$2 can support a family of 6 with enough food for one day.
